North Dakota receives funding to combat unemployment insurance fraud from USDOL

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Labor awarded the following grants totaling $1,215,000 to North Dakota:

$1,020,600 for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), and $194,400 for Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensations (PEUC).

The funds will be used to combat fraud and recover improper payments in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, including those programs created under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
