Native American tribes in the state of North Dakota will get $2.7 million in Head Start funding

Fargo, North Dakota – Grant funding in the amount of $2.7 million is being provided by the United States Department of Health and Human Services to Head Start programs that serve Native Americans in the state of North Dakota.

Cankdeska Cikana Community College will get approximately $1.5 million, and the Three Affiliated Tribes will receive approximately $1.2 million in funding.

This funding come from the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, which help preschool-aged children and toddlers from low-income families prepare for school and grow socially.

Senator Kevin Cramer made the announcement regarding the grants.
