Mecklenburg County, Va. — In a move to engage students in the local electoral process, Mecklenburg County is inviting students to submit their original artwork for the chance to have their design featured as the official voting sticker for the November 2025 election.
The county announced the art contest on its Facebook page this past weekend, encouraging all students enrolled in Mecklenburg County schools and residing in the county to participate. The deadline for submissions is set for 4:30 p.m. on May 2, 2025.
The contest is open to students of all grade levels, and participants must create an original design that features the phrase “I Voted.” The artwork must adhere to a 2-inch circle format. The chosen theme for the design is centered around voting and elections in both Mecklenburg County and the United States. In keeping with the spirit of civic engagement, the design must be non-partisan, ensuring that it remains neutral and inclusive of all voters.
The winning design will be prominently featured on the voting stickers distributed during the Nov. 4, 2025 election. In addition to the honor of seeing their artwork used as an official symbol of participation, the student will receive a plaque displaying their design, along with recognition from the county.
For those interested in participating or seeking additional details, the Mecklenburg County Voter Registration Office can be contacted at 434-738-6191, extension 4313, or via email at [email protected].
This initiative is a unique opportunity for local students to contribute to the democratic process in a creative and meaningful way.
