RICHMOND, Va. — A man was discovered shot to death inside a building on Richmond’s Northside Thursday night, police confirmed.
Officers with the Richmond Police Department responded just before 9:30 p.m. on June 5 to the 2200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue following a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside the building. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Richmond Police Department stated the investigation is ongoing. However, detectives are not currently seeking any suspects in connection with the shooting.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the victim’s identity or the specific location where the incident occurred.
