Man Found Dead After Shooting in Richmond Townhouse

RICHMOND, Va. — A man was found dead early Tuesday morning following a shooting at a townhouse residence on Caulder Court, according to the Richmond Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene at the 3800 block of Caulder Court at approximately 9:12 a.m. on March 4 after receiving reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, police discovered a man inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts at the scene, the victim was pronounced dead.

The Major Crimes division of the Richmond Police Department has taken over the investigation. Authorities are currently conducting interviews with residents of the townhouse complex and collecting evidence from the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
