Man Found Dead After Early Morning House Fire in Chesterfield County

Chesterfield County, Va. — A man is dead following a house fire early Sunday morning in Chesterfield County. The fire broke out at approximately 12:30 a.m. on February 2, 2025, in the 2900 block of Kingsdale Road.

When Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews arrived on the scene, they found the home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to control the blaze, managing to bring it under control in just over an hour.

During a search of the interior of the home, firefighters discovered a deceased male. The identity of the man has not been released pending positive identification by the medical examiner. The Chesterfield Fire and EMS Department confirmed that the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Chesterfield Fire Marshal’s Office.

At this time, authorities are withholding further details as they continue to investigate the cause of the deadly fire.
