West Fargo, North Dakota – According to a West Fargo lady who is charged with striking and killing a motorcyclist in an accident in April, the deceased might have had suicidal thoughts.
Court documents support the assertion that Taquoya Saldana, 28, was driving from a social gathering at 75 mph in a 40 mph zone when her car collided with a motorcycle being driven by Thomas Fradet, 31, who subsequently passed away from his injuries.
The documents say Saldana told investigators that she “believed that the motorcycle driver was trying to commit suicide.”
Furthermore, according to police, Saldana’s blood alcohol content measured at 0.07, which is slightly less than the 0.08 legal limit. In the event that Saldana is found guilty, this implies that her maximum sentence, which was previously estimated to be 20 years, will now only be 10 years.
The allegations against Saldana were enhanced earlier this week following a five-month inquiry. She could spend ten years behind bars.
