In the Sub-Region Championship, Williston State College volleyball defeats Bismarck State

Williston, North Dakota – The season of the Williston State Teton Volleyball team will continue after they defeated Bismarck State on Friday in Bismarck.

With a six-game winning streak going into the evening, the Lady Tetons won the opening set 26–24.

In response, Bismarck State emerged victorious, taking the next two sets 25-23 and 25-16.

The Lady Tetons forced a fifth set, 25-23, to avoid elimination.

In the decisive set, Bismarck State had a 7-4 lead but Williston State rallied for a 15-13 victory.

According to Lady Teton Head Coach Caitlyn Muder, “It was our best game of the season.”

With 12 kills apiece, Sarita Restrepo and Sam Timmermans lead the Lady Tetons.

Mya Pospisil possessed six aces.

For the Region XIII Championship, Williston State and North Dakota State College of Science will square off on Monday at 7 p.m.
