Hopewell, Va. — The Hopewell Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound Saturday night.
At approximately 11 p.m. on March 8, local telecommunications received a report that a male victim had arrived at Tri-Cities Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was quickly airlifted to Chippenham Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have confirmed that the crime scene was located at the intersection of Winston Churchill Drive and East Randolph Road. Investigators found multiple spent cartridge casings at the scene, indicating that the shooting occurred in the area.
