Henrico Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on Nine Mile Road

Henerico, VA – A 56-year-old woman has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Nine Mile Road. Authorities have confirmed that Brenda Lee Butler, a resident of Henrico, was killed in the incident.

At approximately 8:22 p.m. on December 10, Henrico County Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Laburnum Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 2010 Toyota Highlander overturned in the intersection.

The driver, later identified as Butler, was located outside of the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders quickly transported her to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Preliminary investigations by the Henrico County Police suggest that Butler was traveling westbound on Nine Mile Road when she lost control of the vehicle. Authorities believe that Butler ran off the road twice before the vehicle overturned, flipping multiple times before coming to a stop in the intersection.

Police have confirmed that Butler was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Speed and alcohol are both being investigated as potential factors in the accident, though authorities have not yet released further details.

The crash remains under investigation, and Henrico Police have urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
