Henrico County Police Respond to Early Morning Shootout in West End

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A shooting erupted early Sunday morning in Henrico’s West End, leaving several vehicles damaged but no injuries reported.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of West Broad Street, prompting Henrico Police to respond to the scene. Emergency communication logs confirmed a report of gunfire, which was captured on video by a local resident’s doorbell camera. The footage, shared with WTVR CBS 6 by Jennie Guthrow, reveals the sound of multiple gunshots ringing out, as Guthrow described being “shocked” that no reports of the incident were initially made.

According to Crime Insider sources, the shootout ensued after a dispute between two groups in a hotel parking lot. While no individuals were reported injured, the gunfire caused collateral damage, with five or six cars struck by bullets.

Authorities have confirmed that one person fled the scene and was subsequently taken into custody. Police have yet to release further details regarding the suspect or the motive behind the argument that escalated into violence.
