Henrico County, Va. — Henrico police are investigating a reported firearm violation that occurred on the 1800 Block of Cliffbrook Lane late Thursday evening. Authorities responded to the call at approximately 9:27 p.m. and discovered that an adult female had been shot.
According to police reports, the victim was transported in a private car after the shooting. Officers later intercepted the vehicle at the intersection of Libbie Avenue and West Broad Street. Emergency personnel from Henrico Fire arrived on the scene shortly after and transported the victim to an area hospital.
The female victim is currently receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or a potential suspect.
