Hanover, VA – A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a 61-year-old woman in Hanover County, authorities confirmed on Tuesday, December 31. Keith Lamont Hubbard, 61, was apprehended following a two-day search by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest follows an incident that took place on Sunday, December 29, in Mechanicsville.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 8100 block of Kiwi Lane at approximately 5:42 p.m. after reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement found the woman suffering from significant injuries. Evidence gathered from the location indicated Hubbard as the primary suspect. However, Hubbard had fled the area before deputies arrived.
After an intensive search, Hubbard was located and taken into custody without incident on Tuesday. He now faces charges related to the incident, though specific charges have not yet been disclosed by the Sheriff’s Office.
