Minot, North Dakota – Following an altercation with two law enforcement officers in Minot, a man who is handicapped and wheelchair bound is facing many charges related to the incident.
On July 24, at around 8:00 a.m., two police officers were sent to southeast Minot after a caller indicated that Karleon Trevilshlique Gregory, a 23-year-old who had an outstanding municipal warrant for his arrest, was seen in the area. This is according to an affidavit of probable cause that was provided by the Minot Police Department.
According to the reports, Gregory aggressively swung at the officer who was attempting to stop and detain him, pushing the officer away. Another officer who tried to talk with Gregory was punched by him in the chest. Officers then took Gregory to the ground, where he bit an officer.
Gregory was ultimately restrained after additional officers came to assist.
He was taken to the Ward County Detention Center.
