Four Teens Cited After Mall Fight

Fargo Police say several teens were cited after a disturbance at the West Acres Mall Friday. It started as a fight, and when police and mall security responded, Fargo Police say the mob overwhelmed and assaulted the officers. Over a dozen police responded and the situation was brought under control. One 13-year-old boy, two 14-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl were released to their respective parents. They face various charges.

Last night, Fargo Police Officers responded to a disturbance at West Acres Mall involving a large group of juveniles who were fighting . The group quickly overwhelmed the responding officers and mall security, obstructing the officers by pushing and kicking them. Over a dozen officers responded and brought the situation under control.

One 13 year old juvenile male was released to a parent and referred to juvenile court for obstructing a government function.

One 14 year old female was released to a parent and referred to juvenile court for obstructing a government function, simple assault, and assault on a peace officer.

One 14 year old female was released to a parent and referred to juvenile court for obstructing a government function and simple assault.

One 15 year old female was released to a parent and referred to juvenile court for simple assault.

Physical obstruction of a government function, NDCC 12.1-08-01, is when a person intentionally obstructs, impairs, impedes, prevents, or perverts the administration of law or other governmental function.
