Fargo, North Dakota – Three of the four suspects who were detained in relation to the murder of a West Fargo adolescent appeared in court on Friday for their arraignment.
The first suspect to be taken into custody on a murder accusation was Marcus Rexrode, 31. He could get a maximum sentence of life in jail without the chance of release if found guilty. In addition, he might spend the next 4 to 10 years in prison for allegedly using a gun to distribute drugs.
The judge ruled that bail was set at $2 million, cash only, due to the man’s extensive criminal past and the fact that he is suspected of having fired the deadly shot.
His initial hearing is scheduled for June 29 at 1:30 PM.
Marcus McCuin, 41, and Fabian Scott, 19, are both accused of murder. If found guilty, they could get a term of up to life in jail without the chance of release. For robbery with a deadly weapon, they might each be sentenced to four to ten years in prison. Additionally, McCuin is accused of unlawfully possessing a handgun.
Both were given public defenders, and their cash-only bail was set at $1 million.
At the arraignment, no pleas were entered. On July 6 at 1:30 PM, McCuin will have a preliminary hearing. The preliminary hearing for Scott is scheduled for July 5 at 9 AM.
On Thursday, Tommie Trent was charged with drug use. Trent’s bond was set by the judge at 10% of $25,000 in total.
