Fargo students celebrate “Walk, Bike & Roll to School” Day

Fargo, North Dakota – On Wednesday morning, in honor of “Walk, Bike & Roll To School” Day, families with children enrolled in school made their move.

It was suggested that students wear sneakers to school rather than taking the bus. The purpose of the day is to encourage students to lead healthy lives and to get exercise while traveling to and from school.

Popsicles and games on the sidewalk were served as part of the celebration held by the students of Longfellow Elementary School in Fargo on this day. As more students chose to ride their bikes to class, the school’s bike racks soon became overcrowded with wheels.

It is crucial for drivers to exercise caution when driving in school zones and in communities with schools due to the increase in pedestrian traffic surrounding these locations these days.
