FARGO – Some Fargo citizens helped an officer with an arrest this morning.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a driver who was driving recklessly and struck a motor vehicle parked on the road. The driver, 26-year-old Jacob Iten of Fargo was located parked in the Holiday Stationstore, at 5168 38 St. S. Iten fled on foot from the officer.  After a short foot pursuit, the officer caught up to Iten. He began physically resisting the officer, making it difficult to get him placed in handcuffs. The officer said then, a few citizens saw he needed help and jumped in to help restrain Iten so the officer could handcuff him.

The Fargo Police department thanks the citizens who jumped into action to assist the officer.
