Fargo business is trying to raise $20K for local veterans

Fargo, North Dakota – Together with a non-profit organization for veterans, a Fargo company is trying to gather several thousand dollars to support our country’s soldiers.

American Heroes Outdoors and The Title Company in downtown Fargo are teaming up to raise $20,000 in November. A nonprofit called American Heroes Outdoors gives first responders and veterans the chance to recover by being outside. Among the activities the charity offers are fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting for veterans, first responders, and their families or caregivers. Additionally, the group fights for the benefits and rights of first responders and veterans.

For each real estate closing featuring an American hero—defined as a veteran, police officer, or first responder—The Title Company is offering $100. Through November, donations to the charity will be made if the American hero is the buyer, seller, lender, agent, or builder in the transaction.

“We are honored to partner with American Heroes Outdoors and support their mission of healing and honoring our nation’s heroes,” said Nicole Davidson, President of The Title Company. “We believe that homeownership is one of the most significant investments and achievements in a person’s life, and we want to help our veterans achieve that dream. We also want to show our gratitude and appreciation for their service and sacrifice for our country.”

Even if you’re not looking to buy or sell a house, you can still help with this task. The Red Hen in Dilworth will host a benefit supper and silent auction on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. on behalf of The Title Company. On November 9, 15% of all food and drink purchases made at the Red Hen will also be given to the American Heroes Outdoors charity.

A Marc Andre Fleury jersey and four tickets to any Minnesota Wild game of your choice are also up for auction through The Title Company. The raffle will take place on Nov. 30 and tickets cost $10.

Tickets to a UND hockey game, a night at a nearby hotel, a golf swag bag, and other goods are up for silent auction at the Red Hen.

“We are thrilled to partner with The Title Company and receive their generous support for our veterans and first responders,” said David Morse, the founder and executive director of American Heroes Outdoors. “We believe that the outdoors is a powerful and effective therapy for our heroes, and we want to share their stories and inspire others to join us in honoring and empowering them. We are grateful to The Title Company for their leadership and dedication to our cause.”
