Days remain before many North Dakota traffic laws take effect

Bismarck, North Dakota – In the next few days, many new legislation will take effect.

The primary seatbelt law will go into effect on Tuesday, August 1st, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reminds motorists.

According to the main seatbelt law, if a driver is not wearing a seatbelt, authorities may pull them over.

The North Dakota State Legislature also approved a law requiring cars to switch on their turn signal before leaving a roundabout.

Another instructs motorists to yield to stationary vehicles with flashing hazard lights.
