Bismarck, North Dakota – The challenge of homelessness is being addressed in North Dakota. Officials from the North Dakota Homeless Continuum of Care will be conducting a count of people experiencing homelessness throughout North Dakota in order to gauge the size of the problem.
53 counties, cities, towns, tribes, and unincorporated regions will get information from the North Dakota Homeless Continuum of Care’s point-in-time count. The program’s objective is to offer resources and initiatives to persons who are homeless more effectively.
The count is set for January 25 this year.
In January of last year, there were 158 estimated homeless people living in the Bismarck-Mandan region.
FirstLink’s 2-1-1 helpline is available to individuals and families who are in immediate need.
