CHI St. Alexius performs medical first in the state

Richmond, Virginia – One of the most recent medical accomplishments in North Dakota is being celebrated by CHI St. Alexius.

In a single procedure, the state’s healthcare system carried out a lung survey and a biopsy for the very first time in the state.

A robotic bronchoscopy machine contributed to the successful completion of the procedure, which took place a few weeks ago.

Surgeons are of the opinion that this has the potential to bring about a paradigm shift for patients suffering from lung cancer.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1300 people in North Dakota pass away from cancer every year.
