Chesterfield County Police Investigating Suspicious Death

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a suspicious death following a welfare check requested by the Richmond Police Department on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on March 26, Chesterfield Police responded to a call from Richmond authorities asking them to check on the well-being of a resident in the 12000 block of Goldenbrook Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a deceased individual inside the residence.

The Chesterfield County Police Department has classified the incident as a “suspicious death” and is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the person’s death. In a press release issued around 5:00 p.m., officials confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, with police expected to remain at the location for an extended period of time.

A spokesperson for the department assured the public that there is no immediate threat to the community. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251.

As of now, the investigation is in its early stages, and further details have not been released.
