Chesterfield County Firefighters Contain Blaze in Detached Carport

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Firefighters responded swiftly to a fire that broke out late Wednesday night in a detached carport in Chesterfield County. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. on February 19, at a residence located on the 2500 block of Reymet Road.

Upon arrival, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews found flames engulfing the brick carport. The fire was quickly brought under control and was fully extinguished by 10:32 p.m., fire officials reported. Fortunately, the blaze was contained to the carport, with no extension to the nearby home.

No injuries were reported, and authorities confirmed that all occupants were safely accounted for. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, though no further details have been released at this time.
