Minot, North Dakota – For the past few months, work has been ongoing on the Burdick Expressway bridge.
The traffic during the State Fair was a concern for your News Leader.
In order to create two lanes heading into the fair and one open lane heading west, some of the traffic control will be removed, according to Chad Beggs, assistant district engineer for Minot.
He indicated the eastbound lane closure would be installed again after the event.
Beggs explained, “We’re going to move the barriers that are currently in the middle along the sidewalk barrier to the north side.”
He stated that the bridge’s ongoing construction is anticipated to be completed in October. Beggs claimed that in order to essentially create a more durable bridge, old concrete is being replaced.
