BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. — Authorities are continuing their search for three individuals connected to a double shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Ebony General Store on Friday, March 21. The incident left one person dead and another with life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on the evening of March 21, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired at the general store located in the Ebony area. Upon arrival, deputies found two individuals in the side parking lot with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, 20-year-old Jakwon Andre Bullock, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, 19-year-old Dakota Macon Briskey, was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
In the weeks following the shooting, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has been working diligently to gather leads. On April 1, authorities released an update identifying three suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. The individuals were named as 18-year-old Thomas Antonio Deans of Emporia, 19-year-old Za’ydn Armon Stith of Prince George County, and 23-year-old Charmaine Moody Wiggins of Petersburg.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward. Tips leading to an arrest may result in a monetary reward, according to the sheriff’s office.
“We are actively investigating this case and need the public’s help to locate these individuals,” said a spokesperson for the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. “We encourage anyone with information to reach out to us.”
