An individual dies after trying to pull a stuck tractor

Barnes County, North Dakota – On Tuesday in Barnes County, an individual died while attempting to pull a stuck tractor.

A farm-related crash was reported near the 1600 block of 101st Avenue SE in Wimbledon, according to Barnes County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Using a chain and ropes, two people attempted to lift the stuck tractor from a slough.

The chain broke while attempting to pull the tractor, leaving the individual with life-threatening injuries.

The individual died at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Identities of the persons involved in the incident have not been released.
