Teenager seriously injured in Stutsman County collision

Stutsman County, North Dakota – A 18-year-old is charged with failure to yield following a collision involving two vehicles in Stutsman County.

Friday at approximately 5:30 p.m., the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that an accident occurred at the intersection of Highways 281 and 46 south of Jamestown.

A vehicle driven by an unidentified 18-year-old was approaching the intersection at the same time as a vehicle piloted by an unidentified 17-year-old traveling northbound on Highway 281.

The 18-year-old allegedly neglected to yield and collided with the 17-year-old’s vehicle. The vehicle of the 18-year-old continued past the initial impact entered the northeast ravine, and collided with a power line pole. The vehicle of the 17-year-old stopped at the intersection.

Both individuals were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment. The 18-year-old sustained minor injuries, while the 17-year-old sustained severe ones.

Both individuals involved in the collision are Jamestown locals. The 18-year-old is accused of failing to yield to the right of way.
