HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Henrico County government offices, facilities, and courts will be closed on Tuesday, February 11, in anticipation of severe winter weather conditions expected to impact the area. The county announced that all general government offices, along with the courts and clerk’s offices, will remain shuttered as a precautionary measure.
Despite the closures, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. for a work session. During the meeting, the Board will review reports from consultants regarding the county’s response to the water crisis that occurred in January. The meeting will be available for viewing via livestream for those unable to attend in person.
The Board’s regular meeting, which is set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, will be assessed later in the day to determine whether it will proceed as planned.
In addition to the office closures, trash collection will be suspended on Tuesday. Should weather conditions improve, trash service is expected to resume on Wednesday, with a one-day delay to pickup routes throughout the remainder of the week.
Both the Springfield Road and Charles City Road public use areas will also be closed on Tuesday due to the expected weather conditions.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed on any further updates regarding services and closures as the situation develops.
