BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Wednesday, March 31. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 211
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 1,140
- TOTAL CASES: 103,091
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 100,485
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 4.44%
North Dakota’s active case count increased by 96 on Wednesday. Cass County reported 102 positive cases, while Grand Forks County reported 25 additional positive cases. The number of active cases in North Dakota has increased by almost 60% in the last week. Active cases declined in January and February, but March has seen the number of active cases steadily rise

Vaccinations
- FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 232,696 (40% of population)
- COMPLETED SERIES (Two doses): 151,362 (26% of population)
